WHAT WE VALUE AND WHY
Investing in Tomorrow
Continual education is one of our core values. Investing in our employees today allows us to move forward tomorrow.
In 2006 we set out to build our own in-plant education room to give employees, who lead busy lives, an opportunity to further develop their skill set in a convenient setting. The education room is always open for our employees and managers.
Employees can work on personal goals like attaining their high-school equivalency with support from HR.
Training not only builds a greater skill set, but it also builds confidence.
Increased confidence gives each employee a better work life, a better home life, and a better family life.
We are constantly looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint and operate in a more sustainable fashion.
In 2011 we installed a rooftop solar system that generates up to 250,000 watts, reducing our carbon footprint by more than 1 tonne of carbon dioxide daily.
In further efforts to conserve energy, we have installed a heat recovery system to reduce the amount of energy needed to control our buildings temperature.
We have moved to more energy efficient forms of lighting and are always looking for ways to better our environment.
In 2008 we expanded our waste management program and have reduced what we sent to the landfill by 90%.
We are proud to have our products certified by Oeko-Tex Standard 100 - a testing and certification system this is recognized worldwide. Oeko-Tex 100 is a "...uniform, scientifically founded evaluation standard for the human ecological safety of textiles, against the background of the globalized and extremely fragmented nature of the textile manufacturing chain."
